In December we held our annual Christmas lunch at which 55 members, wives of current and past members and friends appreciated the traditional fayre as provided by Hagley Golf Club, a very successful and enjoyable way to end another successful year.
At the end of January, we held our annual general meeting. Our outgoing President, David Santus, reported he was leaving office with the Club in good heart and emphasised new members will be most welcome.
Attendance at the monthly meetings had been good and members had enjoyed a variety of speakers during the year. Our incoming President, John Stinton, expressed his thanks to David for looking after the Club for the past two years and was looking forward to his term of office. He reiterated David’s comments encouraging new members and was confident the Club will continue to prosper.
The Club offers a warm welcome to retired professional and business gentlemen from Hagley and District who would like to join for a monthly luncheon meeting together with occasional social events and outings. Please contact Alan (hon sec) on 07967 590219
