Where does the time fly to....... March already.
Last month at Hagley WI we enjoyed Valentine’s Day and celebrating Friendship. We have also been crafting our Green Hearts to ‘Show The Love’ for our planet and environment. This is very important to us at WI. We do all we can to join in with events or fundraising to give a future to generations to come so they too can enjoy this beautiful planet of ours.
The knitting/crochet ladies amongst us have been very busy ‘clicking their needles’ making blankets for the neo natal wards of hospitals in our area and beautiful patchwork blankets to send to The Fistula Clinic to help give comfort to a very deserving charity. Not forgetting our sewing ladies, of course, who are starting a wall hanging of same size squares of material but each one different to show the many and varied aspects of WI life.
Maybe you’d like to see our display in the cabinet at Hagley Community Centre. Every month something new. March sees us learning more about what is being done presently and what can be done to tackle violence against women. Another topic that is vitally important and really shouldn’t be taking place in this day and age.
