The Village market had a good summer with an average of over 600 visitors at each of the monthly markets. We were sure if the footfall would be lower due to holidays, but visitors have been fantastic. Thank you for everyone that’s been able to come and visit us. Hopefully those that haven’t found the time will come and visit. It’s a lovely atmosphere with friendly traders and volunteers, in a lovely setting of the playing fields. A great place to spend a few hours on a Saturday morning.
As a reminder it’s the last Saturday in the month, except for the special Christmas December market which is Saturday 16 December. All proceeds go to the repair and maintenance of the community centre and the market committee are all volunteers. We’re planning now to have a special Christmas themed market (16 December) and hope to have a Halloween theme for the October market. We’ve raised over £2,200 since March 23 and hope to double that by March 24.
A special work of thanks to the committee from the bookings and promotions team to the day event team responsible for setting the event up and safely managing the carparking and visitors. Without such dedication none of this would be possible.
